Prepare for the attack of the titans

Hello there! (read it with a british accent, its more cooler haha) Since my blog is all about everything that's under the sun (or moon if you want), today I am going to write about a certain anime that's been suggested by a close friend. (Shout out to Niko, Hi Nik. hahaha).

Say hi to the person that caused me sleepless nights because of watching Shingeki No Kyojin.

Well, first of all, I am not really a fan of anime. I only get to watch them or have a glimpse of them when my brothers watch it online. The only anime that I knew was One Piece, Toriko, Naruto, and Fairy Tail. I prefer watching Cartoon Network, really, since you don't need to read the English subtitles (because obviously, Japanese people are the ones responsible for those stuff that you're brothers or boyfriends are hooked to). So yeah, on to the anime that I am kind of hooked to right now (actually right now, it's not just boys who watch it but the girls as well. HOORAY GIRL POWER!), it's entitled Shingeki no Kyojin: Attack on Titan.

Attack on Titan (進撃の巨人 Shingeki no Kyojin^?, lit. "Advancing Giants") is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. The series began serialization in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine on September 9, 2009, and has been collected into 12 tankōbon volumes as of December 9, 2013. It is set in a world where humanity lives inside cities surrounded by enormous walls due to the Titans, gigantic humanoid creatures who devour humans seemingly without reason. The story centers on Eren Yeager, his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackerman, and their friend Armin Arlert, whose lives are changed forever after the appearance of a Colossus Titan brings about the destruction of their home town and the death of Eren's mother. Vowing revenge and to reclaim the world from the Titans, Eren, Mikasa and Armin enlist in the Military and join the Scout Regiment—an elite group of soldiers who fight Titans outside the walls.

So that's a small piece of information about the anime. I don't want to spoil the story. The reason why of all the anime I knew and I chose to watch this is that, Niko really urged me to watch it because he said it was sooo good (you'll love it) and so I watched. Little did I know that I was going to get hooked to it, like literally. For the first day, I watched four of its episodes and I thought "Well, not bad for an anime". But then what surprised me was that even at school I can't even shut up about it. I kind of always brought it up when I talk to my friends and even one of my close friends said that it was really a good anime. (Hi Sha ;)

What's unique about Shingeki no Kyojin, and what makes it stand out to the other animes that I "kind of" watched is that, even if it has a mixture of fantasy (since giants do not really exist and humans are living their lives with problems that do not really have any connection with the so-called titans) it still has some points in which people who'd watch it can connect to. Even if they have those human-thirsty giants to worry about, they still have other things that a typical human being in the real world worries too  (i.e, poverty, corruption, criminals, etc.). The story does not only focus on one person only, but to a number of characters in which their lives and struggles are shown.

Shingeki no Kyojin is a really nice anime. It talks about family, friendship, loyalty and team work. And right now, I am suggesting you (begging you) to try and watch it. Just don't tell me that you didn't continue watching it up to the latest episode, because I sure am going to punch you, in the face, with a hammer. Kidding. Haha.

Elena Gilbert

Born on the 22nd of June,1992, she is the central character of The Vampire Diaries. Elena is assumed to be the fourth and last doppelganger of Amara, the world's first immortal woman. She was happily living her miserable life with her brother Jeremy (who is actually her cousin since she was adopted by Jeremy's parents) and Aunt Jenna, until a certain vampire came back into town which would then be her one true love, Stefan. What made her life even miserable is that not only does she love Stefan, but she also likes Damon (Stefan's older brother) from which her feelings for him then grew stronger until they become girlfriend and boyfriend in Season 4.






Stefan Salvatore

Born: November 5, 1846
Turned by: Katerina Petrova
Occupation: High School student
Species: Human, Vampire, Doppelganger
Played by: Paul Wesley

Stefan Salvatore is one of the male protagonists of The Vampire Diaries. He was born on November 5, 1846 and was turned into a vampire by Katerina Petrova (Amara's third doppelganger) in the year 1864 which makes him 163 years old. He is the youngest son of Giuseppe Salvatore and his unnamed mother. He has an older brother, Damon,who is also a vampire. Stefan is also a doppelganger of Silas, the first immortal man.

Stefan, after fleeing Mystic Falls, returned suddenly because of a girl she mistakenly thought to be Katherine, which was actually Elena. He befriended her and then pursued her. He was Elena's one true love, the person that brought Elena happiness. But their relationship is always tested by faith and all other things, including his brother Damon.




Damon Salvatore

Born: June 28, 1840

Damon was born to Giuseppe Salvatore and an unnamed mother on June 28th, 1840 in the small town of Mystic Falls, Virginia. He is six years older than his brother Stefan. Damon was turned by Katherine Pierce (Katerina Petrova) who also turned his brother into a vampire, and whom he fell madly, deeply in love with. Damon returned to Mystic Falls with the sole purpose of freeing Katherine in the tomb which she was supposed to be held prisoned to (actually, Katherine wasn't there because she was clever enough to free herself), only to find out that Stefan, whom he hasn't talked to for the last 15 years, due to their bitter relationship, returned too.

After realizing that Katherine wasn't in the tomb and that she didn't love him really, Damon started  working with Stefan and Katherine's descendant and doppelgänger, Elena Gilbert, whom he eventually falls in love and begins a romantic relationship with. He even considers Elena the "good" in him, without her, his life is complete darkness.

Hello there awesome person that's currently reading this. Today is your lucky day (naaah just kidding), today's article is all about the blogger herself. HOORAY! It would be kind of awkward if you don't know a thing about the writer of this blog (at least,for me) soooo TEN-TE-NE-NEN! *drum roll please*

Hi! Im Kimberly Teofe Kwan. I am 18 years old and will be turning 19 this December 07, which is too far from today so you don't have to worry about what you're going to give me as a gift, YET. I was born in Cebu City, grew up and lived there for 10 years until my father died when I was still little which forced us to transfer here in Mindanao because of hard times. So basically I studied at Lahug Elementary School in Lahug,Cebu City and continued grade school at Holy Cross High School in Kolambugan, Lanao del Norte up until high school. I currently am living at Sabayle, Iligan City since the university that I'm going to is in Iligan (obviously). I'm studying BSBA- Business Economics at Mindanao State University- Iligan Institute of Technology, by the way. Top that! Just kidding :3

So on to likes and dislikes and other stuff you talk about when you're introducing your self,

• when it comes to food, I basically eat everything as long as it's made with love (awwwee), actually it's kind of tedious to list all those food that I love so I'll just cite some examples:

• I also love dressing up. I am not the kind of person that dresses herself to anything that she can easily pull in the cabinet ( well, yes sometimes when I feel lazy). I mostly prepare and think about what I'm going to wear for the next day.
• I love to talk (which is kind of obvious here in my blog). I. Just. Can't. Shut. Up. Unless you'd give me food. ;)
• I love adventures. I love going out. (in short, laagan (slacker/wanderer, whatever)
• I hate slow internet connection. We all do,actually.
• I hate it when people stare at me when I'm walking in the hallway. I mean, I get that you just can't get your eyes off me, but at least,you could just do it without me noticing it. (HAHAHAHA)

We are a family of talkative people. That's why I'm talkative.

I want to travel the world. But, let's start with the Philippines first. Me at Lasang Secret Adventure, Initao.

I try to dress up base on how I feel at the moment.
